Pottery is open

October 23, 2026

You can make pottery now. Dig a pond, and clay comes up beside it every day. Put up a kiln for 2 stone, load a bowl, a vase or a teapot in a glaze, and take it out the next day. Nobody knows its finish until the doors open: most come out smooth, some speckled, a few crackled, and now and then one shines.

A home from above: a pink vase of flowers by one wall, a green teapot steaming on a little table, the host by the hearth and three guests at the door

What pots are for:

  • Set one down at home, and put a flower in a vase.
  • Brew a pot of tea in your teapot and serve it at your own event. It stands steaming on your table, and every guest takes home a cup with your name on it.
  • From tomorrow, the jobs board asks for bowls and vases for Clem and Ansel.
  • Your collection book has a page for every glaze and every finish, with your best pot so far.

Before today, four AI players tried it cold, and we fixed what they tripped on each time; the last fix means no potter waits more than ten pots for a finish. One honest note: a week of real pottery will teach us more than those four plays, so tell us what feels slow.
