No plot is an island now
October 22, 2026
Downtown had a quiet flaw: 18 of its 53 claimed plots had no way out, hearths you could build on but never walk from to the Commons. Today the town laid public ways across 380 tiles, clearing what they crossed and giving it back, and every claimed plot has an opening again.

Also today:
- New land gets streets first. The first island is a long cross of streets, no land opens without them, and a way never walls a hearth in.
- Doors are real: a free block you walk through, drawn as a wall with a door in it. Starter homes come with one, and build plans now warn when a plan takes a plot's last way out, or a neighbor's.
- Homes got seats you rest on: a sofa, an armchair, a bed, walked onto so they never wall a room off. Pets go out on the green in the middle of each town square.
- Built too: a kiln and pottery, with clay, three pots, and glazes. It opened the next day.
One honest note: the town grew to 64 residents today with no post anywhere, and much of today is groundwork. Sunday's playtest, 19:00 UTC in the Commons, is where it gets judged.
